ScienceStar is a free educational website providing Singapore Primary Science revision materials, quizzes, flashcards, and study notes for students in Primary 3 through PSLE (aged approximately 9–12), their parents, and teachers. The Site is provided free of charge as a public educational resource.

All content is written to align with the MOE Primary Science syllabus for students sitting PSLE from 2026. We update content when MOE makes syllabus changes and when errors are identified. Terms of use documents tend to be written by lawyers for other lawyers, which makes them nearly unreadable for the families they are meant to protect. We have tried to write ours clearly, but we also want to explain in plain terms why these provisions exist and what they actually mean for the families using ScienceStar every day.
The intellectual property clause exists because creating accurate, well-explained educational content takes significant time and effort. The study notes, model answers, quiz questions, and worked examples on ScienceStar were built over many months. We provide everything free of charge for personal educational use. We ask in return that the content not be scraped, republished, or sold elsewhere — both because it is unfair to the effort involved and because content copied out of context and distributed without the accompanying explanations can end up being less accurate or useful than the original.
The accuracy disclaimer exists because educational content is genuinely complex. The MOE syllabus evolves, our understanding of how to explain certain concepts improves over time, and despite careful checking, errors can appear in any large body of content. We correct every error that is reported to us. We cannot, however, guarantee zero errors, and we want families to know that if something looks wrong, they should check against their school materials or email us — rather than assuming the site is definitively correct and the school is wrong.
The affiliation disclaimer — "not affiliated with MOE or SEAB" — is legally required and factually accurate. ScienceStar is an independent educational resource created by a Singapore family. It is not endorsed by, produced by, or in any official relationship with the Ministry of Education or the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board. Official PSLE past year papers and marking schemes are produced by SEAB — ScienceStar's practice questions are modelled on the PSLE style but are not official SEAB materials.
